An Agreement of Cooperation between the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) stipulates the development of a WIPO Teaching Intellectual Property (IP) Website for countries in transition

On November 10, 2011, during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Intellectual Property Department and Intellectual Property Program at UNWE, WIPO and UNWE signed an agreement of cooperation for the development of a WIPO Teaching Intellectual Property (IP) Website for countries in transition.

The interactive internet platform aims to promote and increase the effectiveness of teaching and training on Intellectual Property for different target groups in countries in Central, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia as well as selected Mediterranean countries, by means of building collective academic and professional expertise, experience and best practices exchange between universities, various training institutions and individuals involved in IP teaching and trainings, developing a database of curriculums and teaching materials, reflecting basic information about events related to teaching IP in countries in transition and development of the WIPO tool for teaching IP for countries in transition.
